How SMS Consent Is Collected
Overview
Lexa AI is an AI voice receptionist that answers inbound phone calls for businesses (such as spas and clinics). Consumers opt in to SMS verbally, during a live phone call, when they call a business to book an appointment. There is no website form or keyword opt-in — consent is given by the caller on the phone, and the disclosure below is read aloud by the AI agent before any booking is completed.
Verbal Opt-In Disclosure (read aloud on every booking call)
Before completing a booking, the Lexa AI agent reads the following disclosure to the caller and asks for their agreement:
The booking is only completed — and SMS is only sent — if the caller verbally agrees (for example, says "yes"). If the caller declines, no text messages are sent.

SMS Data Sharing Policy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Information may be shared only with service providers (subprocessors such as our telephony vendor) strictly to deliver these messages on our behalf.
